An Experienced Outside Perspective On Your Contracting Business
Sometimes you're too close to your own business to see what needs to change. So I don't start by trying to sell you a coaching package. We start by assessing your business.

Sometimes You're Too Close To See It
You know there are things that could be better. Maybe it's sales. Profitability. Marketing. Hiring. Systems. Growth.
Or maybe you can't quite put your finger on the problem—you just know the business isn't where you want it to be.
That's why I don't start with a coaching package, a program or a prescription. There's no predetermined solution, because I don't know your business yet.
So we start by assessing it.
Here's How It Works
A Simple 2-Call Process. A Clear Plan Forward.
Call 1 — We Talk
I Learn Your Business
I'm going to ask you a lot of questions. What you do, what you sell, who you serve, what your market looks like, how you're getting customers, how you're selling work, what your numbers look like and where you're struggling. Most importantly, what you're trying to build.
I Go To Work
I Assess
This is the part you don't see. I take what I've learned and develop a thorough set of recommendations for your business. Not three generic tips—a real list of priorities and next steps: what to implement right now, what to begin working toward, and what to plan for.
Call 2 — We Build The Plan
We Forge A Way Forward
We go through everything together. I explain what I'm recommending and why, and where I believe your priorities should be. You ask questions, give feedback, and we talk through how it all fits the realities of your business.
What those recommendations cover depends entirely on what I find in your business:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Pricing
- Financials
- Profitability
- Systems
- Hiring
- Leadership
- Operations
- Visibility
- Growth
Two calls. A thorough business assessment. A clear plan forward.
Two Calls. A Business Assessment. A Plan Forward.
That's what your $49 gets you.
- Call #1
- I learn your business.
- Between The Calls
- I assess it and develop your recommendations.
- Call #2
- We review them and determine your priorities and next steps.
Then we decide together what happens next.
What Happens After The Assessment?
That's Where 1-on-1 Coaching May Come In.
Once we've completed the assessment, we'll have a much better understanding of what your business needs—and whether ongoing coaching would actually benefit you. For many contractors, it does.
Because knowing what you should do and actually implementing it successfully are two different things. That's where coaching becomes valuable.
Coaching That Gets Specific
I coach contractors around the world, taking the same business principles I teach and helping contractors apply them to their specific situations. My approach is practical and no-nonsense.
We're not meeting just to talk about business. We're working on your business.
Coaching gives you someone outside the day-to-day operation who can help you:
- Stay accountable.
- We establish what needs to happen, and follow up on whether it's actually getting done.
- Make corrections.
- Sometimes the original plan needs to change. We identify what's working, what isn't, and make the adjustments.
- Make better decisions.
- Instead of trying to figure everything out alone, you have someone to work through the important ones with.
- Keep your priorities straight.
- Business owners are constantly pulled in different directions. Coaching keeps your attention on what matters most.
- Implement what you're learning.
- We take principles around sales, marketing, financials, systems, hiring, leadership and growth and apply them to your actual company.
- Keep moving forward.
- As one problem gets solved, another usually appears. Your business changes, and the plan changes with it.
Sometimes you need encouragement. Sometimes you need another perspective. And sometimes you need someone willing to tell you:
“No. That's not the problem. This is what we need to fix.”
That's part of coaching too.
